Oldy Worldy Charm -
Stayed for 2 nights and would definitely stay again. Not a modern, sterile type of place but a more traditional B & B with bonus of pub and food. Stayed in Gold room as a superking size bed, which was extremely comfortable. Bathroom modern with large shower. All was sparklingly clean. Rooms little cold but extra heater in room to top up and room soon warmed up. Martin (owner) extremely friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast more than enough - had cooked on one day (extra charge as website says) which was good quality. Plenty of parking. Doggy rug provided if required and welcome bonio for our pooch ðŸ˜

Enjoyable stay -
We were looking for a hotel in or near Worcester with parking, we spotted the Walter de Cantelupe Inn on a comparison site, which is less than 4 miles to the cathedral to give an idea of location. Choosing to book directly we were asked what time approximately we would arrive so that the owner, Martin, could be there to greet us. What a lovely touch!Free parking at the rear of the inn, perfect as I don’t want the car left two streets away or overnight in a multi story. Checking in was a breeze and we were soon showed to our room. The room was large, bright and airy. Nice and warm with the radiators on and easily turned off when we went to bed. Coffee and kettle provided with a great selection of teabags, standard tea, green, raspberry or chamomile. Very impressive, I’d actually bought my own chamomile tea bags with me but didn’t need them. The bathroom was great. An additional light over the mirror which was a big help when putting my contact lenses in and make up on. A bath with a shower, perfect as I love my baths whilst partner likes his showers and a heated towel rail so I was able to jump out the bath and wrap myself in snuggly warm towels.Despite overlooking the road, there was no road noise at night. The bed was comfy. Plug socket next to the bed, perfect for charging my phone overnight. Easily connected to the free WiFi, I didn’t test the speed though seemed very fast for what I used it for and had a good strong signal. There was some information on the area in the room and a small pile of novels which I presume is a book swap. If you have finished your book, swap it for another one.Had the continental breakfast which consisted of orange juice, tea or coffee, cereal, fruit and yogurt, (in my case just fruit, the blueberries were some of the best I have ever tasted and the melon was lovely) followed by toast with a choice of jam, marmalade, marmite etc. A cooked breakfast is available if required.Ate our evening meal on both nights at the inn which was delicious with generous portions and reasonably priced. A roaring fire to keep out the chill on the cool evenings with a relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of drinks, both soft and alcoholic. We were provided with everything we could possibly want from a room, the extra touches were noted and appreciated. Great location for Croome, Handbury Hall, Greyfriars and the wonderful cathedral. The greatest asset to the inn is Martin himself. A thoroughly nice gentleman, nothing is too much trouble. As we left, I thanked him for looking after us as that is exactly what he had done. Highly recommended.

Visiting parents and taking Dad to Hospital-
I was warmly greeted by Martin on my arrival even though I had arrived later than I head expected. Martin kindly took my baggage to my room. Which was well presented, clean tidy and well equipped. I had plenty of time to freshen up before popping down to the bar for a drink. After a good night's sleep in a comfy bed, continental breakfast was served in the resturant area.I would recommend staying hear to friends and family as this is a friendly comfortable well priced, well appointed location if visiting Worcester area.Thank you Martin and your staff for a great stay.

General.-
Although from the outside it could do with some tlc don't let that put you off. We had a lovely stay the room was comfortable with a extremely huge bed. We picked the continental breakfast which was good. Would go back for a longer stay.

Greeted by Martin, what a nice guy. Shown us to rooms to choose from and they were both great. Clean, comfortable and catered for my gluten free requirements on short notice! Lovely place

Very good breakfast and pet friendly -
Last minute booking and not disappointed. Old fashioned pub, warm welcome to us and our two dogs. Lovely room and shower but disappointing that the sink had no hot water. Breakfast was lovely and Martin the owner was very hospitable.

A Hidden Gem! -
A characterful Inn with delightful people. Food was very tasty too. Everything about this place is charming. Recommended if you're looking for somewhere different that serves good quality food and offers a decent place to lay your head for the night. Thanks Martin. Your hospitality was outstanding.
