Beer Election

Refreshingly as unpolictical as any election could be, this now legendary event, understood to be unique in its format, is staged exclusively at Walter de Cantelupe Inn just about every two years.

Where else do customer’s have the chance to definatively choose a beer they enjoy drinking, taking a position on the bar ? Nominations are put forward for consideration by the Inn to enter the next Beer Election to become candidates to challenge one of the existing beers on the Bar.

All three brewers are invited to ‘showcase’ their beers at the much-looked-forward-to event when the specially authenticated gathered locals (bone-fide cask ale consumers) cast their vote at the end of which, the winning beer is declared and duly either retains its position for another ‘term’ or steps up and defeats the prevailing brew. All highly democractic!
