The first themed dinner of 2012.
A four course dinner featuring Scottish beef, haggis, neaps and tatties.
A liberal measure of Burns recitals accompanied with appropriate measure of scotch whisky!

Burns Supper

Haggis is the culinary centrepiece of a Burns Supper, which celebrates the life and work of Robert Burns on or near his birth date of the 25th January. The supper may be an informal gathering of friends or a grand and glittering event. Burns Suppers are hugely popular, and it is a fitting testament to the poet’s enduring appeal and relevance that the ritual of sharing haggis with friends and family has become a global affair.
Haggis was immortalised by Burns in his poem, ‘To a haggis’ which is recited when the dish is brought to the table.
So go on, come and enjoy Burns Night at the Walter. We promise it will involve lots of laughter, literature, discourse and haggis.

Stuck at home for Christmas, don’t want to travel far, our log fire is roaring and the Inn is looking especially Christmassy. Why not pop in for a mulled wine and a mince pie whilst you warm yourselves by our real log fire. We hope you like the photos and wish you a safe journey if you’re travelling anywhere during the festive period. Thanks to Julian Edwards for popping round and taking some pictures for us!

If you only eat out once a year, it’s likely to be at Christmas time, either with family, friends and or work colleagues… Here, at Walter de Cantelupe Inn, this will be our twentieth Christmas and as in previous years, the festive menu reflects some of the best food served in Worcerstershire during December.
Served from 1st to 23rd December our Christmas Menu is available below – Price £23.00 per person, inclusive of quality crackers. This menu is only available in the evenings, with each diner’s choice is pre-ordered. A deposit, non-refundable, of £10.00 per person is required to secure the booking.
